Hello my stamping friends... today I'm sharing a closer look at the Wonderful World stamp set and coordinating Designer Series Paper (DSP). This is a Sale-a-Bration freebie you can select with a $100 order during Sale-A-Bration July/Aug, 2022. For a look at the main Sale-A-Bration flyer you can click HERE. Please note that the Note Card and Envelopes pack and the Tree Lot Dies are both now discontinued from the Sale-A-Bration offerings. They basically "sold out" and are not being restocked. Stampin' Up! has added some additional items that you can choose from at both the $50 and $100 shopping level and you can take a look at those HERE.
To get a closer look at the stamp set and DSP, and to see how the card below was assembled you can watch the video HERE. Thanks so much for your interest!
I had a lot of fun playing with the Wonderful World stamp set and designer series paper pack when I finally had time to work with it. I was able to come up with three lovely cards (shown here in this post) that used one or both items and I paired these products with sentiments from the Art Gallery stamp set and the Inspired Thoughts stamp set. I often use both of these stamp sets for the sentiments on my cards--they are great staples to have on hand.
The paper has some gorgeous contemporary florals on one side and some beautiful colors with more neutral patterns on the back side, making them great for lots of projects or to use together to created beautifully layered card designs.
In the video, I share each piece of paper and give you a closer look at the stamp set before we get into the card-making.
For this post, I wanted to create a card that used both the stamp set and the DSP together. I went to the Queen City Stamp Art Sketch Book to look for some card design inspiration and decided to use Sketch No. 2. The SKETCH BOOK is a free resource I've added to the http://www.queencitystampart.com website. I'll be adding to it a few times a month so check there if you're hitting a wall with your designs or just want an easy way to get into a crafty groove.
I used a couple of Stampin' Write Markers to color on the rubber stamps to give my flower image a 3-color tone. I often pull colors for my cards right from the colors used in the DSP, it's the easiest way to be sure your card design will be coordinated. As I shared the different patterns included in the paper packed, I also shared a couple of additional cards I created using this beautiful combination of products. I'm sure I will be able to come up with additional card ideas---this is a great little bundle.
I hope you enjoyed the card projects I shared today and that seeing the Wonderful World bundle freebie is helping you to decide which Sale-A-Bration gift to choose with your order. Sale-a-Bration sale for July/Aug, 2022 runs for a few more weeks, ending on August 31, 2022. If you have your heart set on any particular freebie, order as soon as possible so you don't miss out. Once the individual freebies are gone, they are gone for good and won't be restocked.
Thanks for checking out my cards for today!! I appreciate your interest and I'm here if you have questions or comments. Have a lovely weekend... Kris
