Quick + Easy: Using DSP + Sentiments

Updated: Jul 9, 2019

I love to share ideas for quick and easy cards and it doesn't get more simple than pairing pretty designer series paper with sentiment stamps. You can watch the video HERE.

These cards came together in a flash using minimal supplies and minimal stamping. I let the Designer Series Paper (DSP) from Stampin' Up! do all the heavy lifting. Stampin' Up! provides many beautiful options in patterned papers and one of my favorite aspects of the DSP is that each sheet is double sided, for double the patterns. Typically there's one side that follows the theme of the packet, with the other side showcasing a more neutral pattern. This adds TONS of versatility to the paper packet and you can get a lot of mileage out of one pack.

I chose to use the Bird Ballad suite for these card designs, but any patterned paper packet and sentiment set would work, even some you probably have in your stash. Don't be afraid to cut this up and use it in your card-making. It's a perfect solution for some quick and easy crafting and a great way to add additional cards to your stash.

I chose a few basic products to add interest to the designs, pairing the sentiments and DSP with some dimensional adhesive, a few scraps of glimmer card stock, some linen thread and a package of the Bird Ballad trinkets offered with the suite. Keeping the supplies minimal helps me to focus (having too many options distracts me!) and get some cards made in a jiffy!

This small grouping of cards, paired with envelopes and placed in an acetate box would also make a lovely gift for someone.

I hope you enjoyed the cards today---please let me know in the comments!

If you would like any of the supplies I used to create these cards you can purchase them HERE. Thanks so much. :)
