This week I'm sharing the retro-style color combination of Real Red, Coastal Cabana, Black and White. This crisp color combination worked great paired with the Varied Vases stamp set from Stampin' Up! You can watch the video HERE.
I used the Pinewood Planks embossing folder to add texture to the front whisper white panel of the card. This design element can add some subtle pizzaz without being overbearing. I used the stitched rectangle dies to cut the smaller panel for the focal image vase of flowers. A little masking technique kept the front of the vase clean while the flower stem stuck out the top of the vase.
The color combination is predominately white. This is super restful to the viewers eye and makes the focal image really pop! The red and turquoise color combo is fun and vibrant. The black twine and black ink on the sentiment adds just the right balance of black to the mix. Even a small amount of black can add a contrast that pulls the design together.
