Clean + Simple: Timeless Tulips

Today I worked up a card using the Timeless Tulips stamp set from Stampin' Up! This is so super, clean and simple you won't believe it! You can see how this card came together by watching the video HERE, or keep reading for a closer look at this sweet birthday card...

I started this card with a base of Sahara Sand. This is probably my favorite warm neutral card stock color in the SU! palette. Smokey Slate is my favorite cool neutral. Either base card would have worked with this design but I opted for Sahara Sand. I then cut a panel of whisper white to stamp on using the Stitched So Sweetly dies. I find myself reaching for these dies all the time. The scalloped, stitched rectangles are so adorable and add some nice interest to any card design.

So I used Poppy Parade ink to stamp the tulip image and Granny Apple Green ink to stamp the tulip leaves. The sentiment is also from this stamp set and I first stamped the sentiment on the panel, using Momento Black ink, followed by the tulip flower and then finally the leaves. I stamped an extra tulip on a scrap of whisper white and then fussy cut it out with scissors, but if you have the coordinating punch that goes with this stamp set, use that!! :) Much easier. I added the extra tulip over the first image I stamped and popped it up with dimensional adhesive.

I love the look of this clean and simple card. The color of the tulip really pops against the white and sahara sand. So lovely, even without any extra embellishments, but feel free to add a few sequins or rhinestones, or even ribbon---and make it your own.

I so hope you enjoyed this simple card idea. Thanks for popping in to share part of your day with me. If you need any supplies or would like to order the items to make this card and others, check out my online store---> http://kristinevicente.stampinup.net
