This week I'm sharing a clean & simple card I made using the stamps and coordinating dies from It Starts with Art, by Stampin' Up! You can watch the video HERE.
So this card stays clean and simple because we're using a square of DSP (designer series paper) as the main focal point, and pairing it with some die cuts and a sentiment. I decided to feature 4 out of the five new In-Colors for 2019-21--- Seaside Spray, Rococo Rose, Purple Posey and Terracotta Tile. The only color missing is the Pretty Peacock, because this particular piece of DSP doesn't include that color, so I left it out.
These were easy to put together, just layered the DSP to the scalloped square and glued it to the card base. Then stamped the sentiment strip, cut one end at an angle and layered it to the border die with some wet glue. I then wrapped some rose thread around my fingers to create a nest and glued that to the DSP panel. I then layered on the sentiment strip and the button dies. Finishing the design, I took the largest rhinestone gem and stuck it to the sentiment strip.
This would be a fun card to send to a crafty, creative friend, no matter what their hobby or craft but particularly fun if they sew, since the buttons and thread are a nod to sewing.
I hope you enjoyed the card for today and it inspires you to pull out some DSP, some dies and a sentiment to see what you can create!! :) Thanks for stopping in to see me today... until next time.
