Clean + Simple Card: Water Brush Dabbing Technique using Artfully Layered stamp set

This week I'm sharing the Artfully Layered stamp set and sharing a fun technique I like to call Water Brush Dabbing, because that's actually what you do---- you ink up a solid image, give your water brush a squeeze, and dab water onto the surface of the stamp causing the ink to move around and create a fun, texture to the image. You can check out the technique in THIS VIDEO.

For the card today, I used a base card in Pale Papaya and added a layer panel in Basic Gray. I stamped the palm frond image after inking it in Pear Pizzazz ink and dabbing it with my water brush to create that fun texture. I added a sentiment using Basic Gray ink and before adding the panel to the other layers on the front of the card, I created a little tab using some of the Designer Series Paper in this suite and my 1/4" corner rounder, then stapled it onto the panel using my Tiny Attacher stapler. A regular, standard stapler would work just fine here. That little patterned tab, plus the shine of the staple adds another element of interest without overwhelming the design. To finish off the card, I added some Elegant Faceted Gems around the sentiment. Still plenty of white space and some nice crisp lines to this design.

Today I also wanted to share a special offer from QUEEN CITY STAMP ART for the month of April, 2022.
