Clean + Simple Card: Tea Boutique

Hello friends! Today I created a cheery friendship card using the Cup of Tea bundle from Stampin' Up! You can watch the video HERE, or stay on this page for a closer look at the card.

I started with a base card in Basic White Thick and added a Basic White layer with a diagonal 2" strip of 6x6 Tea Boutique DSP. I die cut a solid tea cup and two of the leafy sprigs from the die set and then stamped them with Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party inks, respectively. It's easy to line up the stamped images with the die cuts when the stamps are photopolymer (making this stamp set great for classes because you can help your customers by die cutting in advance).

I used some Mono Multi liquid adhesive to glue the sprigs to the tea cup and then used some dimensional adhesive to glue the finished tea cup to the card base. The mono multi liquid glue is also great for adding the tiny hearts to embellish. Just add a few dots of glue to where you want the hearts to go and add the hearts with tweezers or you Take Your Pick tool, for easy placement.

The ink colors I used today are from the new Stampin' Up! In Color collection, including Sweet Sorbet, Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis. They're super cheerful and they coordinate beautifully with the 6x6 Tea Boutique Designer Series Papers.

I hope you enjoyed the card for today!
