Clean + Simple Card: Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration 2021

Happy New Year, friends! What a great way to kick off a new year ---a brand new Stampin' Up! catalog and the annual Sale-A-Bration from Stampin' Up! This new catalog and SAB go live on Tuesday, January 5th. If you haven't received your hard copy of the SU! catalogs from Stampin' Up! yet, I promise they're on their way. They were shipped "catalog class" in early December through the USPS. I will be posting the PDF versions of the catalogs here at Queen City Stamp Art on the SHOP tab. You'll be able to open the PDFs and look at them or save them to your computer so you have them for reference. If you've never purchased from me before but live in the United States, I'd be happy to send you my catalogs--just email me at queencitystampart@gmail.com with your address!

I thought it would be fun to give you a sneak peek of some gorgeous new designer series paper that is being offered as part of a Valentine suite in the new Jan-June Mini catalog. It's called True Love Designer Series Paper (DSP) and it's florals on one side, neutral patterns on the other and ALL black and white! Many of the floral patterns would be great for coloring if you like to color, or great for bold contrast if coloring is not your thing. I think pairing these papers with a pop of bright color would be fun, too. I'm also sharing a lovely stamp set that you can get for FREE as part of the Sale-A-Bration offerings (spend $50 and pick a free item out of the SAB catalog)... it's called Heal Your Heart and it features a THANK YOU and a few CARING sentiments.

Let's have a closer look at the card for today, shall we? You can check out the VIDEO, or just keep reading...

So the card for today is a Sympathy card and I used my Stampin' Blends markers in Rocco Rose and Old Olive (both light and dark) to color in some of the flowers from a sheet of the True Love DSP. I then did a little fussy cutting with my snips to cut them out of the 12x12 sheet and added them to the base card using dimensional adhesive. I used one of the neutral patterns from the back side of a sheet of the same paper packet for that black and white pattern on the bottom section of the card. The sentiment is from the Heal Your Heart stamp set. It's one of 6 sentiments that make up the set and it'll be a great staple for your stamping stash.

Because this is a sympathy card, I elected to forgo my normal "sparkle" and went with a linen bow to embellish. This is a simple, peaceful card, very easy to create in multiple if you wanted to keep a few on hand.

Stampin' Up Supplies used to create this card include: Stampin' Trimmer, Whisper White Thick card stock, Memento Black ink pad, True Love Designer Series Paper, Stampin' Blends Markers in Rococo Rose and Old Olive, Linen Thread, Tombow Multipurpose glue, Dimensional Adhesive and Paper Snips.
