Clean + Simple Card: Snail Mail

Yay! So this weekend I finally cracked open my Snail Mail Suite of product from Stampin' Up! and I've been having a ball playing with these adorable images and all of the fun papers and embellishments in this suite. These snails are so darn cute--and the themes of snail mail and happy mail are right up my alley! The card for today was fun and easy to put together. You can watch the VIDEO or keep reading for a closer look...

The first cards I made using this suite incorporates some quick die cutting of snails out of a couple of the DSP (designer series paper) patterns. I love when Stampin' Up! coordinates the patterned papers with the dies in the suite. Die-cutting images from DSP makes for quick and easy cards! As I continued to play with the products I came up with this card design and found that I really enjoyed coloring the snails! It's easy coloring, and by referring to the DSP for the colors to use, everything coordinated.

I was able to use a few scraps of DSP to create the banner layer and then the square postage die for the snail panel makes this card extra cute! The embellishments of Snail Mail twine and those darling resin hearts are completely delightful and help to finish off the cards. All of these products can be purchased separately, but you save 10% if you purchase the stamp and die bundle or the entire Snail Mail Suite all at once. If you're new to Stampin' Blends, don't forget to pick up a Memento Black ink pad to use with them. For the snails, I used Stampin' Blends in Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party. They come in sets of light and dark for $9/set. A great value, they last for years if you keep the covers on tightly and lay them flat when not in use.
