Hey friends, I'm back this week after a little time off (to get over the flu and to attend a funeral out of state -- it's been a rough couple of weeks!! ). I'm happy to be back to work, sharing another clean and simple card, this week a FUN FOLD!! You can check out the video HERE. Keep reading for a closer look at the card for this week, and if you love this card, you'll probably love the Plentiful Plants FUN FOLDS Card Class to go that I'm offering! Check out the LINK to a class registration and join me for this month's class if you live in the U.S. and you'd like to have a little crafty fun with me.
Today I've mixed an older stamp and die set with some new Designer Series Paper and a new Embossing Folder and some ribbon from the brand new Stampin' Up! Annual 2022-23 catalog. I love being able to combine old with new and give that old bundle a fun, fresh look. The card for today features the Side Gate Fun Fold -- you have probably seen this fun fold before, it's been around for a while, I just thought it was time to give it a try myself. It's as simple as they come and creates something unexpected on an otherwise clean and simple card.
To create the base card you'll need the following pieces:
Base Card - Gray Granite - 5-1/2 x 8-1/2"; long edge at top of trimmer and score at 1-1/2" and 5-3/4"
Layer Panel - Gray Granite - 2-1/2 x 5-1/4" ; embossed with Fern 3D embossing folder (158804)
Layer Panel - Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (DSP) - 1-1/4 x 5-1/4" (159037)
Inside Panel - Basic White - 4 x 5-1/4" You'll also need the Plentiful Plants stamp set (155693) and Perfect Plants die set (155562), plus Garden Green and Crumb Cake ink pads.
The video I linked above is a great tutorial for creating the base card and then putting this card together. I hope you enjoyed the project for this week. Let me know if you have questions-- you can email me at queencitystampart@gmail.com. Take care and see you next week!
