Today I'm sharing another card idea, this time a very clean and simple version of a card I created on Friday when I shared a product showcase on the Ringed with Nature bundle and the wonderful way it coordinates with the 12x12 Rings of Love designer series paper, which is a free item from Sale-a-Bration! You can catch that video HERE.

The card I created today had several pieces including some die cut pieces, but the overall design is pretty clean and simple. I used a strip of Poppy Parade that I embossed with the 3D Timber embossing folder, to create an anchor panel for my focal image. I stamped and die cut the ringed stump, stamped and fussy cut the mushrooms and I die cut a couple of tree sprigs, one in crumb cake and one in garden green and layered them together to create a two-tone die cut to add another little design detail to this card.
Linen thread is always a great choice of embellishment whenever you're creating cards with outdoorsy elements. It has a wonderful, natural texture that adds another interesting detail.
In addition to the clean and simple version, I brought in the bumped up version to show as a comparison---which to you like better?! I'd love to know... I always lean toward the clean and simple version of cards, but that beautiful DSP is so eye-catching, that more bumped up version is really pretty too, and those mushrooms are just adorable. I'm hoping this cute, whimsical woodland greetings will bring a little sunshine to a couple of friends who are recovering from some health issues.
Before I leave you today, I've posted the new HOST CODE for August. Your orders help to support my business (and my home!), and are always appreciated. Thank you.
When you spend $50 using the HOST CODE, you'll not ownly receive some gorgeous products, but you'll also earn a FREE Sale-a-Bration item AND you'd receive the three card kits shown in this sneak peek to the right! I used the Color and Contour stamp set to complete these cards, but you are welcomed to use any out line image in your stamp stash to complete them. The kits are pretty and very easy to alter with what you have at home. It's my way of saying thanks for being a customer!
