Today I'm sharing a clean and simple card I made using the Nature's Harvest bundle from Stampin' Up!, as well as some of the paper from that suite of product. You can watch me assemble the card HERE, or keep reading for a closer look at the card and a list of supplies.
I used a base card of Basic White, cut to 4.25 x 11 and scored at 5.5". I oriented the card to create a side-fold landscape. I then layered on three strips of the Harvest Meadow 12x12 Designer Series Paper. I added a circle of vellum to create a muted focal platform and stamped a sentiment from the Nature's Harvest stamp set in Early Espresso ink on a Crumb Cake strip of card stock. The sentiment strip was added to the base card with dimensional adhesive to pop it up off the front.
Heat Embossing | Heat Embossing is a fun technique and one often forgotten in a world where stamping supplies are so easy to come by and inks and card stocks coordinate beautifully. Its so easy to forget this timeless technique and just use color. Today I pulled out my Versamark ink pad, my Heat Tool and my Gold Embossing Powder and stamped a small cluster of flowers using the Nature's Harvest stamp set and heat embossed them in gold. Such a small embellishment, but in the shiny gold embossed finish, it really packs a punch on this simple card.
I do love how this card came out--especially all of the layers and textures and that beautiful combination of Misty Moonlight and metallic gold on white. I hope you liked this one too and that this card gives you another idea for using this amazing product suite from Stampin' Up!
