Clean + Simple Card: Many Mates + Sunflower Dies

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing another retiring stamp set, called Many Mates. This set is all sentiments and includes bolder sentiments that pair with supporting sentiments for the inside and outside of your handmade cards. I'm pairing this with a couple of sprig die cuts from the Sunflower Dies. You can watch the video HERE. Keep reading for a closer look at the card and some quick details on how I put it together.

I chose a color palette in soft subtles for this card, inspired by the beautiful spring colors we're experiencing in the yard here in North Carolina. Flowering trees all over the place, soft pinks and pretty purples and sweet little yellow buttercups in the grass along the road, all under a soft, blue sky. The world is waking up from a sleepy winter.

I chose a base card in basic white and cut an extra panel 3x4.25" that I ran through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder. I used a layer of petal pink card stock to mat this layer and glued it right to the card front. I added the leafy sprigs with mini glue dots and then stamped a sentiment on a quarter-inch strip of pool party card stock and layered this sentiment panel over the top using dimensional adhesive. I finished off the design with a linen thread bow, some Elegant Faceted gems and a brush of wink of stella over the lighter leaves, to add a little shimmer. This is a sweet and simple card in a soft, pretty color palette. The card design makes for a lovely birthday card, but it would be a sweet sympathy or thinking of you card, too. I hope you enjoyed the card for today and it inspires you to get a little "inky" yourself. Thanks for taking a look!
