Clean + Simple Card: Kite Delight

This week I'm back to share another sneak peek from the Stampin' Up! January-June Mini Catalog---a stamp set called Kite Delight! This adorable stamp set is photopolymer and fun for all levels. It's especially fun if you're looking for a "crafter-noon" of fun with your kids! These images are a delight to color and appeal to adults and children alike. If you'd like to see how I put these cards together as well as a sneak peek of the Sunshine + Rainbows Designer Series Paper freebie I used from the new Sale-a-Bration flyer coming, please check out the VIDEO. Otherwise for a closer look at the cards, keep reading...

So the card pictured on the right is the clean and simple card for this week. In addition to seeing some of the images from the Kite Delight stamp set, I'm also sharing a sneak peek of a fun, FREE paper packet called Sunshine + Rainbows which will be offered as a free gift with a $50 purchase during Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration in January and February, 2022.

In the video, I share all of the sheets included in the paper packet, as well as a closer look at this adorable stamp set.

For the clean and simple card, I used my layering circles dies to cut a focal platform for the kite and sentiment from the Kite Delight stamp set. I stamped the tail of the kite onto my base card using Mango Melody ink and then stamped the kite onto a scrap and trimmed it out with my scissors before popping it up onto the card base with dimensional adhesive. The sentiment shown is actually one long line, but I stamped it out and trimmed it in half, adding banner ends to left and right side before attaching it to the card base with tape runner. The sequins I used to embellish are from the Artistry Blooms sequins in the Stampin' Up! Annual catalog. I love these for their sparkle and the fact that they come in three colors all in one pack!

For the bumped up version of the card, I chose a different pattern of paper from the Sunshine + Rainbows DSP. I added an additional kite and went with a different sentiment.

I love that this stamp set would also appeal to children. You could stamp out several of the kites, have your kiddos color them in and then depending on their age, they could cut out the kites and make cards or YOU could cut out the kites and make cards for them to send to family and friends. It's fun to add a little sunshine to someone's mailbox for no reason other than to say Hi!! or Love you!

I hope you are enjoying the peeks of new product coming in this beautiful new catalog. If you'd like to receive a complimentary hard copy of the Stampin' Up! Jan-Jun Mini catalog for 2022, please drop me a line with your full name and address at queencitystampart@gmail.com and I'd be happy to send you one.
