Clean + Simple Card: Ink Blending + Spritz background technique with Seas the Day

Hey friends!! I'm back again this week with another clean and simple card. This time I'm sharing a fun ink blended + spritzed background that pairs perfectly with the Seas the Day sea life bundle from Stampin' Up! You can watch the video HERE, or keep reading for a closer look at the cards.

So this week I pulled out some inks, including the brand new TAHITIAN TIDE which is a new ink color coming in the 2022-23 Annual Stampin' Up! catalog on May 3, 2022. As you can see, it pairs beautifully with our Coastal Cabana. I also used a stamp and die bundle that will retire on May 2, 2022, Seas the Day.

I love using the blending brushes and ink to create blended backgrounds. The technique takes a little practice to get the smooth and graduated look, but it's worth the effort! It also helps to have the correct tools to get the job done. We offer exceptional blending brushes at a good value (3 for $12 US) and I have to say, that Deluxe Foam Mat for the Stamparatus is especially useful for ink blending because of the plastic-coated grid side. At $6 US, it's a great deal too, because you can use it with your Stamparatus tool, PLUS it's perfect as a base mat when you stamp any of our photopolymer stamp sets, to get the best impression.

I used a variety of products to create this card, including:

157858 Seas the Day bundle

153611 Ink Blending brushes

150866 Stamparatus Deluxe Foam Mat

126185 Spritzer bottles
