Hello friends! I'm sharing a few alternatives for the ladybug punch this week, showing you how to create a bumblebee, a butterfly and even some leaves using this versatile punch! The Hello Ladybug bundle is the best value, (since you save 10% when you purchase the bundle)---I highly recommend you pick up the punch along with the coordinating stamp set for the most versatility and biggest bang for your buck. You can watch the video HERE where I share how to create the alternative critters.
To create the bumble bee out of the ladybug punch, I punched a black body and a set of smoky slate wings, plus a set of vellum wings to give the bee a double wing. I also cut a few narrow strips of daffodil delight card stock to create the stripes on the bee's body. Those simple changes turn a ladybug into a bee!
To create the butterfly using the ladybug builder punch, I punched out a black body, trimmed off the sides of the body, then punched two sets of wings in both Calypso Coral card stock and Petal Pink card stock. I stamped the Calypso Coral wings with Calypso Coral polka dots from the coordinating stamp set and layered the pairs of wings together before attaching to the body to create the butterfly.
For some additional versatility, I punched the wings out of the Parakeet Party card stock, added a score line down the center with my scissors and then trimmed the wings in half to create leaves for my daisy.
So many great ways to use this punch to create lots of summer "bugs" that work great together or alone.
I hope you enjoyed the additional ideas for using this punch bundle. I love to help you stretch your stamping supply dollars and I think the ability to create different critters out of one punch is a great way to do that! You can have fun making adorable summery cards all season with these products! Thanks for checking these out---I appreciate your interest!
