Hello friends!! I'm fighting a cold this week, but it doesn't usually stop me from crafting. Today I'm sharing a cute gnome Valentine card that I put together for Clean + Simple Sunday over here at Queen City Stamp Art, using the Friendly Gnomes stamp set and the Gnomes dies! You can see how I put this card together by watching the video HERE.
The Country Gingham 6x6 papers are so cute and pair perfectly with many of the stamp sets in the 2023 Jan-Apr Mini Catalog from Stampin' Up!, and the Friendly Gnomes are a great example.
When I create Clean + Simple cards I like to use soft, subtle colors with low contrast, lots of WHITE and a small cluster of visual elements. I love adding texture to create interest on a clean + simple card. Layering white panels together---one embossed and the other as a mat for the embossed panel, creates visual interest while keeping the design clean + simple.
The subtle, vellum scalloped circle I included, helps to anchor the gnome image to the card base by creating that visual filter. It forces our eye to that lower right corner of the card. Adding Wink of Stella to the heart, linen thread and a couple of tiny die cut hearts next to the gnome image, are the perfect embellishments for this card.
I hope you enjoyed the project I shared today! Here are a list of the products I used in case you need to do a little shopping!
