Hey friends! I'm back this week with another fun watercoloring technique that features the Flowers of Friendship stamp set and coordinating Flowers & Leaves punch.
If you enjoy watching the instructional video you can find that HERE. For a closer look at the cards there is a photo you can see, save, or Pin to Pinterest, below.
This was a fun card to create because of the interesting watercoloring technique. I started with a basic white thick base card and layered it with a panel of basic white card stock that I ran through my Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine using the Pretty Flowers embossing folder. I stamped a sentiment from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set onto a die cut circle of basic white card stock using the Stylish Shapes dies.
To create the fun watercolored flowers, I took a piece of the Stampin' Up! Fluid 100 watercolor cardstock and used lots of water and drops of re-inker in Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight to create a multicolored panel. I let it dry and then went in with my floral stamps and some Memento Black ink to stamp and cut out the flowers with the stamp set and punch mentioned above. I layered the flower components together, punched out a few leaves out of Granny Apple Green card stock and attached them to the focal platform with Mono Multi adhesive. I finished off the design with some Champagne Rhinestones in the center of each flower, to add some glitz!
The contrast between the gorgeous, colorful flowers and that crisp, white background make the design elements really pop! You could try combining colors in a variety of combinations to get a whole rainbow of flowers!! I hope you've enjoyed seeing this technique and will give it a try in celebration of WORLD WATERCOLOR MONTH!
If you need any of the supplies I noted above and don't already have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, please shop HERE. It's Sale-A-Bration (if you're reading this in July or August, 2022) and that means for every $50 you spend with Stampin' Up! you'll get to choose a free item from the Sale-a-Bration flyer!! Don't miss out on this fun sale!
Also, if you haven't heard, registration is open for my virtual Christmas in July card class!! If you live in the United States and would like to try one of my classes, this would be a good one! I show you how to combine different designer series papers all on one card, how to glitz up die cuts with Wink of Stella and you'll end up with some fun cards you can send out to friends and family at Christmas this year. It's even a good class for a beginner!! You can check out more details and if interested, register HERE on or before July 19, 2022.
