I love a good Christmas in July card idea and I have one to share with you today!
This card features product from the Tidings of Christmas Suite in the Annual Catalog...
If you'd like to watch the VIDEO showing how I made this card you can find that HERE.
I was playing with this suite of product when I created the samples for my Christmas in July Gift Card Holder class and I had some scraps left over---a nice variety of scraps from the Tidings of Christmas 6x6 Designer Series Paper (DSP)! I decided to make a covered panel using strips of scrap DSP and came up with this clean and simple card design.
I started with a 3x4 panel of basic white card stock and layered it with strips of tape adhesive. Then I trimmed out 3/4" strips of DSP and laid them over top of the adhesive on the 3x4 panel on the diagonal until the entire panel was covered. I then flipped it over and trimmed off the excess to create the stripped, layered panel. I cut a mat in Soft Succulent to measure 3-1/8 x 4-1/8, so it's just a little sliver around the edge. The base card is a basic white thick base, with a basic white panel layered on top using the Tasteful Textures 3D embossing folder. The sentiment is stamped on a scalloped circle in cherry cobbler from the Tidings and Trimmings stamp set. I cut a couple of sprigs out of the Evening Evergreen card stock and used some of the Red Rhinestones to finish off the card. If you like how this card came out, you'll love the Christmas in July Gift Card Holder class.
Incidentally, registration is OPEN for my Christmas in July Gift Card Holder class through July 15, 2021 at Noon, if you'd like to participate. My TO GO classes feature a base kit that includes pre-cut card kits (6 cards, 2 each of three different designs) plus some Stampin' Up! product, in this case a paper share of the Tidings of Christmas DSP and a full pack of the metallic pearls to embellish the cards. You'll receive the kit in the mail and then I email you the card recipes as well as a link to a private video tutorial that shows you how to put the cards together. On the registration form there is also the option to add on the bundle for the retail price---I pay the tax and shipping. You can also purchase the base kit and use stamps and dies from your stash to complete the cards--lots of options!! I hope you'll join me for this fun, video tutorial class where you craft at your own pace, on your own schedule.
As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I've already received a copy of the new July-December Mini Catalog that launches 8/3, and it is AMAZING... I'm so inspired to make my Christmas cards again this year. I truly can't wait to share this catalog with you and will have copies out in the mail to my regular customers by July 24. If you don't already have a demonstrator and would like a copy, please email me at queencitystampart@gmail.com and I would be delighted to include you in my mailing!
Thanks for popping in this week!
