Hey folks! Today I'm sharing not one, but THREE clean and simple cards using the gorgeous and very versatile Butterfly Brilliance Collection from Stampin' Up! You can watch the video on how these cards came together right HERE. You can get a closer look at the cards and more details if you scroll down...
These were super quick and easy cards and the card designs themselves would translate beautifully with any die cut floral or botanical or animal image. I've created a cutting guide for these cards in case you'd like to print it off and try making them at home. You can find that HERE.
So to start the process of creating these beauties, I took a 5x7 sheet of Basic White card stock and stamped the butterfly image in Misty Moonlight ink. I die cut them out using the outline die that comes in the collection. I took a sheet of Calypso Coral card stock and cut it in half to create two card bases and used a scrap of it from my scrap bin to create a layer panel. I also cut a card base in Basic White. I took one 6x6 sheet of the Butterfly Bijou DSP that comes with the collection and opted to use the neutral pattern for these cards and cut that one sheet into different size pieces to add to each of the cards. If you print off that cutting guide linked above, you can get the exact measurements I used. I also cute a few strips of Basic White card stock for sentiments and a few vellum circles using my Layering Circles dies. The vellum creates a subtle texture that adds some interest to these otherwise very simple card designs.
The sentiments I used on these cards is from one of my favorite sentiment stamps sets of all time---Well Said. It's very useful between the sweet and simple font and the variety of sayings if this was the only sentiment set you had in your supply stash, you'd be doing just fine. I stamped the sentiments in Misty Moonlight ink on those Basic White sentiment strips. I finished off the cards with a few Champagne Rhinestones. I love to use these shiny gems whenever I'm working with Calypso Coral as a main color in the color palette.
These were very quick and easy to make---from start to finish it took me about 15 minutes. I hope you enjoyed these cards today and will try these card designs to have a little stamping fun of your own this weekend. Enjoy...
