Bundle Focus: Evergreen Elegance - Direct to Paper Inking Technique

Hello friends... Sharing another technique today, featuring the products in the Evergreen Elegance bundle, this time something called Direct to Paper inking. Again, I was inspired by a sample that Stampin' Up! provided to demonstrators, and I basically copied the card sample they provided to demonstrate this technique to you today. You can watch the video HERE showing how I punched and layered the trees, then used my ink pad to add color.

You're probably thinking, well, why don't you just punch the trees out of the Granny Apple Green cardstock? And you wouldn't be wrong for thinking that---you certainly could! This technique, though, creates a fun, artsy look, and you might enjoy the variation of color you get when you apply this technique.

This is a quick, easy card, even when you execute the technique and I highly recommend this design if you have multiple Christmas cards to make---it's a great option for an easy card that's fun to make and uses minimal supplies. In fact, the supplies I used to create this example include: My Paper Trimmer #152392, Evergreen Elegance punch bundle #155579, Poppy Parade Cardstock #119793 and ink #147050, Basic White Cardstock #159276, Granny Apple Green ink #147095 and Pool Party ink #147107. I also used Stampin Dimensionals #104430, Stampin Seal adhesive #152813 and my Wink of Stella shimmer pen to color in the stars and add some shine #141897-- and a pair of scissors.

Please let me know if you have any questions re: this technique or the supplies used. I'm enjoying all of the samples I've been able to share this month to give you fun ideas for using these products. If you already own this bundle I hope you've given some of the samples and techniques a try!

If you need any additional supplies, please shop HERE. I appreciate your business and look forward to serving your stamping supply needs as your demonstrator.
